[04 March 08] Extremely important announcement - Updates and

Dear members,

As you can see, we have done a significant update and changes in CEFC. In this announcement, we will be highlighting to you the updates that have been done, and the changes that you would need to take note in order for you to be a continuous member in CEFC. Please know that all changes and updates made in CEFC are done to enable a closer knit bond within our family. If you love truly love CE, you would have no problems adapting to these changes. And as usual, if there are any feedbacks that you think you should let us know, please feedback it in the office section so that we can improve even further.

Here are the things and changes that you should take note.
1. Domain name has been changed to http://www.chunellafc.net

2. Rules and regulations have been updated

Please take note of all rules and regulations in the forum. This includes the terms and condition stated in the registration form when you first register with us. If we notice any members violating the rules and regulations, members will be banned immediately.

The rules and regulations that have been added are:

a. General rules and regulations:Click here
b. Board rules and regulations: Can be found as a announcement post in every forum section. Please make sure that you go through them. This is extremely important. Please help the staff and moderator by following the format for posting as stated in the rules and regulations.
c. Terms and conditions: We have added additional terms and conditions in the terms and condition agreement when you first registered. Please update yourself with the changes.

3. Deletion of inactive members

Please note that the deletion of inactive members is still in place. We urge all members to post in the forum to participate together with all of us. If you are shy, we understand that, so we do not require you to post that actively. But occasionally, please join us in our discussions and etc. A moment of thanks and what you think will be warmly welcomed. Please understand that members, who share information with all of us, also put in their time, effort and utter dedication in bringing you the latest news every day. Therefore, it is only basic courtesy that you acknowledge them. Without each and every single one of us, the forum wouldn’t be where we are today.

Even if the topic requires a reply to read function, please be courteous enough to say more than just thanks. It’s demoralizing, and even though we don’t come outright and complain, honestly, put yourselves in our shoes and see if you would like to be treated the same way? Members can just enjoy the luxury of updating themselves with information, but however, due to them knowing that you will also want to be updated, they take the time and effort to bring it over to you, and on top of that, they even have to add in translation so that everyone can understand. Therefore, we would also appreciate it if you would take the little time and effort to acknowledge their hard work.

We sincerely hope that you would be able to understand where we’re coming from.

Please note that we are taking the deletion of inactive members seriously. So once again, we urge you to post. We’re all one big family in here and really, no one would be unfriendly to anyone. Given that if you have been lurking in our forum for so long, you should be able to tell what sort of members we are already right?

Who are considered inactive member?

Members who are deemed inactive by the administrators are members who have not posted in the forum for more than 30 days. This would include spam posts which would have been deleted by the moderators. Posts that have been deleted are not considered as posted, therefore, we would like to remind you not to spam the forum.

The administrators will be doing the pruning of members every registration date to take note of who has been inactive and a warning email will be sent. If you receive that warning email, please note that you are already categorized under the inactive list, and if you still continue to remain inactive, we will not guarantee that your membership with CEFC will still be valid.

4. Registration process

Every member should know that not long ago, we implemented the closure of the forum for registration. The forum would only be opened on the 1st and 15th of every month.

However, we have changed the registration process to try and be accommodating to all true fans of CE. This is how the registration process works now.

All registration has been changed such that the activation of accounts would be responsible by the administrators. Previously, it used to be the member activating their own accounts, but now, we have changed it to the administrators activating the accounts in CEFC. Therefore, with this implementation, CEFC registration would be opened everyday. When the administrator will approve the account is entirely up to the administrator schedule. In addition, we have made it compulsory for all to state their reasons for joining CEFC and this reason would hold true for the member

Another method of registering in CEFC would be through another member in CEFC.

This is done through the issue of invitation codes.

5. Elite section for members who posts count is above 500

Through this elite section, we hope that by implementing this scheme, members would be encourage to post more and participate together with us in our discussions and etc. We’re a family, and as much as possible, we would like to improve the bonding between each and every one of us.

Another purpose for the introduction of this section is to protect the sensitive information that might be brought in, no matter whether it is from the past or for the future. All sensitive information pertaining to CE would all be posted in here, and only a restricted number of members who have met the criteria would be able to read the contents in this section.

6. Staff board

Please note that the administrators have removed all staff except for global moderator and designers. Therefore, we are currently in need of staff to help us run the forum. If you are still or are interested, and think that you can commit, please proceed to the office for application.

7. Some minor changes made in the forum

a. Implementation of the list of top posters in the portal
b. Increasing your PM inbox size
c. Quick replies activated for easy access to reply. If you want to include smilies in your post, you would have to use click on the smilies icon and you would see a list of the forum smilies.
d. Introducing a fund for CEFC. Members are welcomed to contribute to the funds if you wish to. Do not worry about the trust funds. Any usage of the funds would be entirely reported and everything will be transparent. We are only introducing this to see if it’s feasible. If anyone is interested, you can PM babyval22. If you aren’t, then, the financing of the forum will still be on the administrators and babyval22.

8. FAQ section opened in the office

A FAQ thread will be opened in the office to answer most of your questions. Please look through the FAQ list first to see if your questions have already been answered.

9. Introduction of awarding system and quarterly competitions

Awarded to:

1. Winners in competition
2. Top poster of the month and of the year
3. Recognizing first class moderator

How does it work?

Competition:

1. Every 3 months, CEFC will be organizing different competition. The competition will span over a time frame of 3 months. Some examples of competition would be designing banner, fan fiction writing competition and etc.
2. The award icon will only be together with the member for a time period of 3 months whereby thereafter, her achievements will be recorded in an official thread for the winners of all competitions.
3. Judging for the competition would be done by a 50% vote from the members and the other 50% votes from the CEFC staff. It is compulsory for all staff to vote.
4. Staff would be allowed to participate in the competition but during the voting time, they are not allowed to vote.

Top poster of the month and of the year.

1. This will be based on forum statistic
2. Awards will be given to top 3 posters of the month. This award will only be with the member for 1 month thereafter the next top 3 of the next month would get it
3. Member who get the top poster of the year will not be qualified for the top poster of the month
4. Award for top poster of the year will be given to the member with the most number of posts for the year.
5. Awards will be based on the last month records. Therefore, if in the month of March, when you see the member with the awards icon, it means that she is the top poster of the month of February.

Recognizing moderators for their hard work

All moderators who the administrators feel that they have been doing their job, they will be awarded with a certificate of recognition for their hard work in ensuring that this forum is kept organized and fun for all to be in.

Existing members re-registration

Nope... you dun have to re-register... it's all in here. :) Just come in as usual my dears.

Requirement for other friends registration through invitation

No requirements my dear, only that they must truly love CE.. and not mean them harm in anyway. This registration is set cos we trust members in CEFC to bring in only trustworthy members.. so we hope that this trust won't be broken!

I've read and understood it, but I have a small personal problem concerning staying active. See, this summer, I will not be allowed any English and so I don't think I'll be able to come on for a period of two months. Please don't delete me! I really do love CEFC. I try to find time in my busy schedule to come and read and participate.

By the way, I really dig the new graphics.
