[24.7.08]Launch of the chat box function in CEFC

Hello dear members! :]

As suggested by some of our family members for the availability of a chat box, we have decided to launch this function that some members have requested for.

If you scroll down all the way to the bottom of the homepage, you will see the chat box function being activated already. If you want to join in the chatroom, all you have to do is to click on the log in at the top of the box, and you will be logged in and will join into the conversation that other members are discussing about now.

Please take note of the following important points while using the chat box.

1. We do not want the appearance of the chat box to affect your posting in the individual threads in the forum. The chat box is used for chatting purposes.. and not for discussing purposes. So please take note that even with the availability of a chat box, please ensure that you are still replying to threads and etc.

2. Please ensure that the language used in the chat box is mainly English. This is to ensure that everyone in CEFC understands the flow of the conversation, and can participate in it. Occasional slip of other language is of course understandable, but please take care to not make that your main conversation language.

3. Please ensure that you consider all members' feelings while using the chat box. Do not use any profanities, or chat about topics that are sensitive in nature. Always remember to put yourself in other people shoes and think if the topic you are chatting should be chatted in the open.

Occasionally, we might add in some other things if we notice any irregularities after the implementation of this chat box. If there is, announcements would be made in the chat box as well as an announcement such as this.

Please take note that if any of the following points above are not being followed, we would de-activate the availability of the chat box upon any irregularity.
